Salesforce Data Connection Setup

Setting up a Salesforce connection should only take 5-10 minutes.

There may be fees associated with setting up a new data connection. Please contact your account team to confirm pricing.


Pre-Implementation

To connect you will need Admin access to Salesforce.

Implementation


1. Connect to Salesforce

Go to BUCS Customer Portal > Connection Management > Connection Hub. Locate or search for the Salesforce connector and click Connect.

 

 2. Name Connection

Enter a Name for your connection on the first page of the connection wizard and then click Next. The connection name should be descriptive and specific to the connection you want to establish.

 3. Provide Connection Details 

Enter your Salesforce Username and Password and the Security Token you generate in Salesforce. Click Save. 

   A security token can be obtained by going to your Salesforce profile information and resetting your security token. If your password is ever reset, you will also need to reset the security token.

4. Connection Established

If the connection was established successfully you will see a Connection Established message and data from Salesforce will continuously sync to BUCS. If the connection was not successful, you will be asked to try again.

NOTE: If you don't see your Salesforce data appear in the BUCS platform in 24 hours, please contact your account team.
