Connect to BUCS Data Feed in Power BI

After creating the API connection and establishing credentials, use the steps below to connect to the BUCS Data Feed from Power BI Desktop.

1. Open a new Power BI Desktop file and use Get Data in the menu ribbon to select OData feed: Home > Get Data > OData feed

2. A dialog box will pop open, enter the URL associated with the API Connection created in BUCS Customer Portal. Ensure Basic is selected and click OK.

3. On the next screen, choose Basic on the left-hand side menu, then enter Username and Password for the API connection. Also be sure to choose the last option from the Select which level to apply these settings to dropdown with the longest URL string, then click Connect.

4. After clicking Connect, the Navigator dialog box will appear with the full list of available data feed tables.  Select the tables you wish to load and click Load.  Alternatively, you can select Transform Data to launch the Power Query window.

5. The selected data tables will now be available in the Data pane.
